In 2003, after 10 years as the Sr. Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Irvine in Southern California and a regular teacher at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murietta Hot Springs, Pastor John and his wife Lisa and their 3 children followed God's leading to Texas joining the Pastoral staff of Living in Christ and International Prison Ministries.

Then in January of 2005, Pastor John was asked to take over the pastorate of Calvary Chapel Garland. Pastor John has a tremendous love for prayer, the teaching and ministry of God's Word and for the pastoral care of every person in our church family. His life and ministry style is humble, open and accessible.

Pastor John is passionate about Biblical discipleship and the equipping of the God's people. Over the last seventeen years Pastor John has taught and ministered in various bible colleges as well as teaching pastors, church leaders and ministry servants in over a dozen third world nations in Africa, Asia, Central America and Eastern Europe.
